BANGKOK – AYUTHAYA – LOPBURI ANGKOR MONKEY TEMPLE – Sukhothai old capital city – CHIANG MAI ELEPHANTS – FAUNA AND FLORA
This trip concentrates on Thailand, mainly the Old Cities in the North Combined with all aspects of Thai Culture and the Nature of the Country. We cover undiscovered areas by tourism like the 500 Chedi Pagoda and the Unesco protected area of Sukhothai, the old capital of Siam.
PHOTO EXPEDITION’S 1st DAY: 01 NOVEMBER 2016 : YOUR HOME – BANGKOK
We have a quiet evening stay for relaxing after our long flights so we are fit and awake early next day to visit Bangkok. Overnight at your Hotel.
PHOTO EXPEDITION’S 2ND DAY: 02 NOVEMBER 2016 : FULL DAY BANGKOK
We start at the pier and take the local transport on the river and after disembarking the ferry boat we will take a cross river ferry to Wat Arun one of Bangkok’s most iconic temples. You will be able to get close up and climb part way up the Pagoda to get a panoramic view over the Chao Phraya. We take some time on near Chao Phraya river where we will board a long tail boat for a ride along the Chao Phraya which gives us some amazing photo opportunities with a different perspective.
We then proceed to the palace and temple complex called ‘The Grand Palace’. The Grand Palace was built as a royal residence and over the years many additions have been made including the amazing Wat Prah Kaew where we can see the Emerald Buddha carved out of a single piece of Jade(sadly no photos allowed of the statue)! Very close is Wat Po famous for its Thai massage school and its giant reclining Buddha. Our last destination of the day will be the busy Yaworat district of Bangkok (China Town) we will will see the solid gold buddha at Wat Traimit and take a walking tour of the vibrant China town district. At the end of the day we head back to our hotel.
PHOTO EXPEDITION’S 3rd DAY: 03 NOVEMBER 2016 : DEPARTURE TO AYUTHAYA – FULL DAY AYUTHAYA PHOTO TOUR
Experience a photographic tour to Ayuttaya, a World Heritage Site, with visits to ancient palaces, monument and ruins such as Wat Phu Khao Thong, Wat Lokayasutharam, Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, Viharn Mongkolbopit and Wat Mahathat. After Sunset photoshoot we head to our Hotel in Saraburi.
PHOTO EXPEDITION’S 4th DAY: 04 NOVEMBER 2016 : 500 CHEDI PAGODA – Star and Bat Cave
Breakfast. We travel to see the The Wat Phra Phutthabat, the “temple of the Buddha’s footprint” is an important Buddhist pilgrimage site located in a rural area. In the afternoon we visit the Tham Dao Khao Kaeo (Tripod needed). The distinguishing points of this cave are its red, black and brown spots on the ceiling as well as the stalagmites and stalactites and its large population of bats. In the late afternoon we see the Wat Paa Wasan Boon Temple or the 500 Chedi Pagodas, where we shoot around this temple and also try to capture the sunset here.
PHOTO EXPEDITION’S 5th day: 05 NOVEMBER 2016 : FREE MORNING – AFTERNOON
Full day for taking photos around our Resort. This time we can do what we please, Macro shooting, Orchid Photography, visit more temples, our resort covers all and more to explore the colours and sights of Thailand. If you like to set your lenses aside for a day, feel free to relax and enjoy the swimming pool, a tradional Thai Massage.
PHOTO EXPEDITION’S 6th day : 06 NOVEMBER 2016 : SARABURI – Monkey Temple Lopburi – TO PITSANULOKE
Early breakfast, then we proceed to another province in Lopburi to see the amazing Monkey Temple, located right near the railway in the city center, then we leave for a 4 hours drive to Pitsanuloke, overnight at the Pattara Resort & Spa.
PHOTO EXPEDITION’S 7th day : 07 NOVEMBER 2016 : PITSANULOKE AND SUKHOTHAI
Visit Wat Maha Dhat with its revered Buddha statue, Phra Buddha Jinaraj. Depart for Sukhothai, visit famous ruins of Thailand’s first capital (1257-1379). See Wat Maha Dhat, the Ramkamhaeng Museum, Wat Sra Sri and Wat Sri Chum. Lunch at local restaurant. Continue to Sri Satchanalai, the northern outpost town of the Kingdom of Sukhothai , built by King Ramkamhaeng. Visit Wat Chang Lom, Wat Chedi Jet Thaew, Wat Nang Phya and Wat Phra Sri Ratana Maha Dhat on the site of the Khmer fort “Chalieng.” Overnight at the hotel in Sukhothai.
PHOTO EXPEDITION’S 8th day: 08 NOVEMBER 2016 : Sukhothai – Kamphaeng Phet – Lampang -Chiang Mai
Early departure to visit Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park which was declared part of the World Heritage listed Sukhothai and Associated Historic Towns in 1991. Unlike Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet offers a chance to explore the ruins with hardly anyone else around. While Kamphaeng Phet’s northern ruins are surrounded by similarly tranquil forest, the area is far less remote than Si Satchanalai. We then proceed to Lampang to visit the Thai Elephant Conservation Center, an institute that treats sick elephants and helps them recover, but also has a section for tourists to fund the project. After the show and some amazing shots of the elephants we proceed to Chiang Mai, overnight in Chiang Mai after lunch.

We wake up early to visit Wat Phra Singh, for the morning spectacle of the young novice monks gathering in the temple, then we proceed to Wat Umong and explore the cemetery of abandoned Buddha statues and the ancient tunnel network. Afternoon visit to Wat Pa Pao.
PHOTO EXPEDITION’S 10th day: 10 NOVEMBER 2016 : Chiang Mai
Worarot refers to a entire downtown district of the city, spreading out on both sides of Chang Moi Road and covering an area roughly between Ratchawong, Tha Pae Road and the River. Worarot (or Warorot) market itself is known in the local dialect as Kat Luang, or big market, but the area is actually a complex of covered and street markets. This area is also traditionally Chiang Mai’s Chinatown.

The spectacular Vachiratharn Waterfall is located in Doi Inthanon National Park, halfway up the mountain. This scenic spot is excellent for picnics and is reached by a short, easy trail from the parking area. The waterfall has a steep drop of 50 meters with a large cascade plummeting over the edge into a deep pool below, creating a misty veil of great beauty. After lunch we head for a 4 hour trip to Chiang Rai.
PHOTO EXPEDITION’S 12th day: 12 NOVEMBER 2016 : CHIANG RAI Wat Ruang Khun (White Temple)
In the morning visit the beautiful Wat Phra Keo where one of Thailand’s most important Buddha statues was discovered in 1444. The statue had been moved by various state rulers and placed in their respective capitals, including Lampang, Chiang Rai and Vientiane, as a symbol of dominance before finally begin enshrined in Bangkok’s Wat Phra Keo during the reign of King Rama I. Then visit Wat Ruang Khun (White Temple) and Continue to the local market.
PHOTO EXPEDITION’S 13th day: 13 NOVEMBER 2016 : CHIANG RAI DOI TUNG ROYAL VILLA AND GOLDEN TRIANGLE EXCURSION
Your trip departs in the morning to visit Doi Tung Royal villa, Hill tribe Project at Doi Tung, where located at the northwestern hills of Chiang Rai province. Visit Mae Fah Luang Garden then continues your trip to Mae Sai, the Northern most point of Thailand. Then continue to visit the Golden Triangle, where the Ruak river and the Mekong rivermeets forming the border of three countries, and the opium museum (House of Opium). Then continue to the ancient city of Chiang Sean at Wat Chedi Luang, and then return to town by sunset.
