What photography gear do we need on each trip?

liz

It is important to be well prepared, climate, rain, frost etc so good walking gear is important, many trips we walk on mountain areas, slippery rocks, rough trails.

A DECENT DSLR CAMERA

Weather a full frame or not, it is advised to be able to change lenses. Point and shoot camera’s are also possible but it will limit the quality of your photos. Two bodies is even better, so you can leave your Macro or Tele lens on one camera and take the Travel lens on the other one,

LENSES : One all round travel lens

We call it a travel lens, the lens that can range from a decent wide angle to a decent zoom in, ideal for all cases we run into.

LENSES : WIDE ANGLE LENS

Wide angle is not a must but can be nice for trips with landscape Photography, and also people interested in Hotel or Architecture Photography.

LENSES : MACRO LENS

Nature trips like Madagascar where we have a lot of small animals, insects etc a Macro Lens is a must.

LENSES : 50, 85 MM portret LENS

Nature trips like Madagascar where we have a lot of small animals, insects etc a Macro Lens is a must.

LENSES : TELEZOOM Р200-600 MM

For the animals and birds that are so far awayyyy…

Comfortable clothing, bags and camera bags

Rain coat, flashlights, Medicine Kit etc

Personal checklist for your luggage

Don't overpack, I have seen many people bring their whole household, i mean of you go for a week you don't need to trim your toenails, and many items you can buy locally. A lot of countries offer cheap hotel laundry etc etc - Here is a list of items we sometimes take, but by no means a must (lists differ for each country)
Good walking shoes (waterproof shoes), travel alarm, insect repellent, earplugs, flashlight, powerbank, photocopies of your passport and local ID, extra passport ID photos,
IMPORTANT: FOR EACH COUNTRY CHECK 1. VACCINES 2. VISA REQUIREMENTS DSC_0120 IMG_8759 copy Photograph Banded Pitta Spectacled Barwing
